The AIHA BC-Yukon Local Section was formed more than 20 years ago in 1984.
The original purpose of the Local Section was and still is to unite industrial hygienists and safety practioners who work for consulting firms, private and public corporations, many branches of government, Universities and WorkSafeBC.
Our Local Section encompasses the Yukon territory as well as the Province of British Columbia including members from as far away as New York City.
In 2006, membership rose to over 175 paid members with nearly 235 AIHA members still on the books and in communication with the Local Section.
